So I don't only use watercolor when I am making portraits. I pretty much use whatever is around me. In this case it was oil pastels. These were made at a beautiful beach house in Santa Monica last summer. They are friends who came to celebrate my sisters birthday.

Yesterday afternoon I sketched at an end of the school year pool party. Lots of kids and lots of enthusiasm for the sketching. I managed to take a few pictures.
Last weekend I was lucky enough to participate at a fundraiser for a little boy named Hollis. He is a super sweet kid who is very sick. His Grandma let me draw her. I sketched others but I only remembered to take one photo...she was my first sitter.
To give hear Hollis's story and help his family out check out this link: https://www.gofundme.com/hopeforhollis I had a great time sketching at another really amazing wedding last night. There was a New Orleans Style Jazz Band! And a fountain! And it was at the Wright House! It was awesome. And so were the guests. Here are a few samples of the sketches I made last night. I also made some action sketches of activities and will post those in a bit.
Sketched at an amazingly sweet wedding this past weekend. It was almost rained out, but luckily the rain didn't last too long and I was moved inside. Yay! I was able to meet so many very nice family members of the bride and groom, and some great kid models!!
